Transfer of stamp from old to New passport

Post by rdevarajan » Wed Jun 08, 2005 10:55 am

I am a British citizen and my wife is Indian. Her passport is expiring and so she will be getting a new passport . Does she need to transfer her settlement visa onto the new passport? . If so please let me know the cost involved.

Thanks

Don't you think you can visit the IND website to find this out first hand?

I have travalled on my current passport with old one attached bearing visa for quite some time now. I don't think its a problem if you carry your old one with you.

The new passport normally refers to the old one bearing valid visa in this circumstances.
