TIMELINE AFTER APPLICATION SUBMISSION at NCS

Post by pvscd » Mon Jan 12, 2009 2:38 pm

Hi,

I am going to submit my Naturalisation Application at Nationality Checking Service on 28th Jan. The application should reach Home Office before 4th Febraury as I was not physically present in the UK 5 years ago after 4th Febraury for a while.

My question is, Is the NCS office going to post the application immediately after the application taken or they will take more time before they actually post it to Home office? If my application reaches home office after 4th Febraury, My application will not be considered.

Thank you

PVS

For how many days were you out of UK starting 4th Feb five years ago?

NCS normally submits the application to UKBA the same day or latest by next day, provided it is a working day.

Thanks for the information. I was out for about 320 days continously after getting my ILR. I have spent a total of 370 days outside UK for the whole of last 5 years.

It doesn't sound like you are eligible because in the year before you apply for Naturalisation, you can not be out of the country more than 90 days. How many days have you been out of the country?

That is right.

I guess you have to wait on1 more year before you can apply for citizenship.

I have attained my ILR in Jan 2004. I was outside UK in 2004 for 320 days. And another 50 days from 2005 to till date. For whole of the last 5 years, I was outside UK for less than 450 days. I am not sure why I am not eligible for applying for naturalisation? Please can you explain me why I am not eligible for naturalisation at this moment?

Would you just answer the question.
How many days have you been absent from the UK from February 2008 to January 28th 2009. If you want to be argumentative, then just apply with NCS and leave us in peace.
