IGS Dependant

Post by sinu0077 » Tue Jan 13, 2009 12:30 pm

Hey

my wife has applied for IGS dependant thru VFS chennai high commission on the 30th dec 2008. we have not yet received any response. all the documents were submitted which we checked with other agencies and had no issue. the bank statements had opening and closing balance of 2000-3000 and I work in the U.K. under the IGS scheme. May I know how much time does it take for the process and do IGS dependant application go through Integra screening?

please help

Don't you need to show £2800 for three months for ur dependent plus £800 for yourself?

I dont think so. My wife has been in the u.k. and we got married in the u.k. so that bank balance is sufficient.

Hi sinu0077... you are right about the mainteance funds.

Here is the link to confirm your funds:

http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/worki ... ntoffunds/

If the main applicant under the post-study worker category is outside the United Kingdom or has been in the United Kingdom for less than 12 months, the family member must show that the main applicant or the dependant has at least £1,600 to support the dependant as well as the funds needed to support the main applicant.

So... £1600 + £800 = £2400 should suffice.....

So.... did you hear anything from British High Commision Chennai?
