HI guys,
Just wondered if anyone's in the same boat as me.
Application for Tier 1(general) sent on 29 November 2008, received by UKBA on 1 December 2008 with payment processed same day. Still waiting to hear back from UKBA. Am getting a bit anxious waiting for documents to arrive as travelling in 2 weeks time.
Has anyone else who applied around the same time as me received their passport back yet?
Many thanks.

So far no payments processed.. Is it due to hols?
Anybody know the leave days for HO?

I would think that's probably due to holidays. HO is closed 1st Jan but reopens the 2nd of Jan(except Scotland). You'll probably find payment processed on 5th Jan .

No I wasn't covered by JR.
I (stupidly) applied for HSMP ON December 5, 2006.
Oh well. I got a 3 year visa. And I can apply for ILR in October.

Still waiting...(patiently).
Called HO today, apparently, they have sent out a recorded delivery, not sure if the application is approved/rejected though!

Does anyone know if Home Office send passport back via Recorded Signed for? Is it first class, i.e. second day arrival? Do I have to be at home to receive it? (in the UK)

I think they would send it by Royal Mail's normal delivery, unless you've enclosed a self-addressed, prepaid envelope for a special delivery or the like. If you haven't done the latter, then you won't need to be at home to receive your documents.

I got my visa this morning!
I sent in the application via Special Delivery on the 30th of December
They received it on the 31st of December
Payment was taken on the 3rd of January
Passport stamped on the 22nd of January
Docs and passport received on the 24th of January!
It was a very straight forward application and I made sure it was well organised so that is probably why it went through so quickly!
Best of luck to everyone waiting!

Congratulations.
Were you applying to extend your stay in the UK or was it it an initial application?
