WP to Tier 1 Switching - Informing Employer

Starting a new thread to share experience of people who have applied from WP to Tier 1 and informed / not informed employer as they want to work with the same employer

Want to know if anyone has informed the employer that he / she has switched to Tier1,

Please share the experience if you have informed the employer.

i never did when I move from WP -> HSMP, my WP visa expired and still the employer did not care to ask me to get my visa stuff sorted, and put in permit(WP) papers for submission.

Eventually I put in papers and the employer asked me on the last day at work if I could share a xerox of my current visa and which visa was it ? It seems they need to inform HO...not sure though(?) that I am not with them since I was on WP earlier.
