Thank you for your reply.PaperPusher wrote:Was the information the right age, not too old? And did it cover 3 months? Were they full statements?
You could make a complaint, try to reason with them by letter, or reapply.
Thanks for that.PaperPusher wrote:Although it is another fee, at least you get a right of appeal if your visa runs out by the time you get a decision.
How much money did you have showing?
Have you spoken to anyone at UKBA about this?
Try to speak to the team leader, be calm, polite and reasonable and have all your paperwork to hand and see what happens.
There is also the possibility of requesting that they reconsider in writing because their decision is just wrong. Or you could write a formal letter of complaint, but these two things can take time.
The only other option is a judicial review as far as I can see.
You may want to seek legal advice too.
Yes, I am in Edinburgh. Thanks, will contact them as well.moneypenny wrote:If you are in Scotland, which I think you might be you can also contact the Relocation Advisory Service. It's free advice and I know that they have dealt with cases like yours in the past couple months.

It was just a waste of time trying to speak with my caseworker(tried all the numbers, even 087..), no one will put me through, all suggestions in writing please...PaperPusher wrote:Try: 0114 207 2966
From advice about how to make a complaint

Or the Sheffield customer contact centre on 0114 207 4074.

Remember to be calm. One tactic is ask if you can speak to the team leader because you do not understand where you have gone wrong with your application.
Another question, did your bank statements have your name on them?
