Spousal Visa Application - Pakistan

Hi everyone, the status of my hubbys application has changed today! but no call yet. Applied on 26 nov in islamabad.

Please please can everyone pray he gets the visa I am very nervous.

I told him to make an app an go down without the call, lets see what he does.

He also has received an email today saying his passport has been dispatched to gerry's and to wait for their call to collect documents! When I read this I thought visa rejected as why they are saying collect documents??

someone please give your views.

missy j: il pray that ur hubi gets his visa and im sure theyl ring u soon if not just go down there ini il rember u in my duas.

Aaah thanks Petalro, your duas are what I need at this moment. It's so hard being away from your other half. It's been nearly a year since I saw him n now if it is rejected I will have to wait 2 years

Can you tell me if my hubby will need to make an appointment or shall I just tell him to go down?

imi have you heard anything?

Any ideas which high commission issued the visa was it Islamabad or Abu Dhabi ???

Hi bazuk,

I dont think it was sent to abu dhabi, because I have emailed the bhc a few times and they never mentioned anything about it being sent elsewhere.

I have a feeling all apps after 27 nov were sent to abu dhabi.

if apps sent after 27th nov goto abu dhabi, then these will definately take more than 8 weeks. All you who applied in Nov are lucky.

We're all guessing, maybe the complicated ones are going to abu dhabi. My wife gave hers today, i wish she gets her visa before 8 weeks.

Missy_j: That is good news for you, inshallah u will get the visa. I am praying. I don't know why i am still waiting and not having my passport ready. I should have my passport by now but i don't. What is wrong with those guys.

hi room can somebody check and see if there islambad tracking system work i have been trying all day keeps coming up invalid search it has worked in the past my wife had interview jan 14th still waiting for a response how long do they take

hey missy j i dont think u need an appoinment but i think there are certain collection times im not 100% sure but i think its in the afternoon .. have they still not got in touch with you ??.. where did u apply and y dont you just go there i no a few people that have gone without them ringinng and they have got their passports.

Hi everyone,

Please be aware that we called Gerry's and they said their whole system is down. Even if u fone them, they can't tell u the status of ur application.

Missy_j - hi congrats hope ur partner gets the visa....hey go down there tell him 2 go we didnt get a call my hubbi went and got his passport. so just tell him 2 go they hardly call now a days...send him down there ....wish u all the best

i thought they stopped doing the interviews!

They ask stupid questions and sometimes you dont see the point, how is your wife/husband suppose to know what car you have and how big it is when they havent seen it. Bloody stupid questions..

Islambad systems were down on Monday all applicants were told to come back tuesday. Maybe the tracking system has still not rectified.

hi irum it means it on its way back to home office in pak they must of checked your application form once it arrived back they will ring you fingeres crossed

it sounds as though your application is on its way to Gerry's from BHC Abu Dhabi. Atleast your status has changed. Mine is still the same, applied on the same day as you.

hurraay my hubbby got his visa!!!

I'm so happy and excited! if he was rejected the visa we would have to wait 2 years before re-applying.

We applied on 26 from isl and the status chaged yesterday. We did not get a call so i sent my huuby down today at the coolection time 2-5, he told them he received a call to collect and they handed him over his passport with the visa. The visa was stamped on 15 jan!

My advice to anyone getting ready to apply is that you should definitly write a detailed sponsor statement if there are any unclear things in your app. I think my hubby was granted visa due to the statement which I submitted explaining y i dont have any wage slips etc..
