Visa Fees INCREASED!! (01/07/05)

Post by Chess » Thu Jun 09, 2005 11:14 am

Coming to the UK is becoming more and more expensive; especially for us "poor Africans"

However, we shall not be deterred - Where there is a Will there is a Way

Wow! Looks like the fees increase "programme" has now become an "every quarter" thing. Good for the Govt. :-) The last one was on the 1st April 2005.

Probably the next one is due in October 2005! :-)

Frankly, I personally don't mind the fee increases at all - as long as their service standards / quality increases / improves on par too!

Ta!

regards.

We are actually talking about two different things here. The fees went up as from 1st April 2005 it respect of in-UK visa applications .... but were left unchanged at that stage in respect of out-of-the-UK visa applications.

Now, with effect from 1st July 2005, the in-UK will remain unchanged, but it is proposed to alter the out-of-the-UK visa application fees. I say "alter" because whilst quite a number of the fees are being increased, some are being decreased, and indeed some are staying the same.

Also realise that out-of-the-UK visa application fees are not payable in Pounds, but are payable in local currency in the country of application.
