Hi,

I have applied from Mumbai BHC on 10th Nov 2008 and still waiting for my visa.

After observing the posts by people waiting on their visa i think this might be the way the BHC works.

there are at least 2 or more different catagory of case workers. The 1st catagory works on fresh applications as they come chronologically. If the application is straight forward the visa is processed ( accepted or refused). If the caseworker needs a second opinion or some verfication it is passed on to the 2nd senior catagory of case workers. These are fewer in number and they decide on the fate of the application either by just going through it or verifies the documents. This is when the waiting times start mounting up and takes months to get the visa since these caseworkers are fewer in number.

This may not be how the BHC works but its just my assumption to comfort those who are still waiting on their visa fo more than a month.

Hi, I also applied on 21 Nov, today got p/p stamped with Visa.
finally long and painful waiting period is over now.

Today the status has changed to "Processed application delivered to Blue Dart"

I have got my Visa today .

The timelines are as below.

Visa Applied: 10-11-2008
Visa Received on: 14-01-2009
Applied in: VFS Mumbai.

Integra report: 18 Nov 2008(Recived by BHC, as per coversation with BHC)
Finally Recivied Documents with visa stamped on: 15 Jan 2009

Can you please clear one point what you had written about your dependents (wife) i.e. what you answered to the question:
5.1 Is your partner accompanying you or joining you later? If they are travelling later please provide their date of travel in Part 7.
Yes/No/Not applicable

And what you specified in Part 7 regarding this?

I put Yes bcz I maintaned GBP 4400 for three months.....

and mentioned, she will travell with me.....

just to be simple its just because of holidays and because some BHC like delhi and bombay act as visa centers for neighboring countries also

Hello Everyone.

Congratulations to those who got their visa.

and good luck to those still waiting.

Guy's I have a query regarding my case your expert advice would be much appriciated.
I applied on 24th Oct 08 at Delhi.
Today i checked by phoning BHC delhi, they advised that there is a caseworker note on the sytem and they require wage slips and corresponding bank statements preceding feb 08.

I have claimed for the period of feb08 to oct-08 and was having enough points . I have provided the wage slips/bank statements for the period i have claimed. Then what might be the reson they want my previous payslips for?.
Also I was not employed for 6 month before feb 08. Although I have got pay slips until July07
and also I have provided the ITR return which states that i was not employed apperantly was a consultant in my own propriatership.

Do we have to provide full 12months pay slips , will the claimed period will not be the sufficient enough???

Your advice is much appriciated. does any one had a simillar situation.

Hi All,

I have received my Passport today.

My timelines

Applied on 21-Nov-2008
Visa Received - 27-Jan-2009
Visa Valid from - 15-Feb-2009

Thanks a lot to this forum, because of which I am able to keep my cool for so long. Some people get their Visa in short duration like 3 days but some like me has to wait for more than 2 months for the same. No issues with Documents it is only luck you can say.
