I sent in the application via Special Delivery on the 30th of December
They received it on the 31st of December
Payment was taken on the 3rd of January
Passport stamped on the 22nd of January
Docs and passport received on the 24th of January!

It was a very straight forward application and I made sure it was well organised so that is probably why it went through so quickly!

Best of luck to everyone waiting!

That is too surprising!!! As the HO website says today:

''During the week commencing 26 January 2009, we expect to be considering applications that were received on or before 24 December 2008.''

Congratsss mate!

Congrats MP....
If you remember i made application on same date as you..

I am pleasantly surprised for you as the 'waiting times' on ukba site says they are considering applications recieved till 24th dec during week starting tomorrow..

So is there any point in ringing them sometime next week?
Is there a number which I can use to ring re: the status?

Many thanks...

I wouldn't bother with calling them. I think you are supposed to wait until it has been about 14 weeks before you call. I am not sure of the number.

I think my application only got through so quickly because it was very straight-forward. I definitely wouldn't be concerned about yours still being with the HO. I think I just got lucky.

Best of luck and hopefully you won't have to wait too long!

Hi MoneyPenny,

Would you mind telling me what letter your First Name Starts with?

I assume the homeoffice have seperate teams in each division to process the applications whose first name is between A and F
Seperate team for the names starting with letters between G and J etc....

So it really depends on how busy that particular team is, our application pickedup quickly....

My initials are M.G. I imagine you are probably right.

I don't know how you presented your docs but my where in a ring binder and I really think it probably got picked up early because of the way it was organised. I made it very simple to check, all my earnings and my education were claimed from the UK. I'm American as well so no English results to check. The caseworker would have realised pretty quickly that mine could be decided on easily.

No I did not like America. Never really did it for me. I've lived in the UK (Scotland) for almost 5 years and I love it. I have no desire to live in the US again.

Hi

I applied for the tier 1 general on the 19th of NOV and got a reciept for the same from the HO on the 25th NOV 2008.

Well for a long time they were saying when i calld there 087 number that your application is under consideration now they say "it is under further consideration". I mean I am really frustrated with their way of working. Does anyone know how long more I need to wait for the same.???????

Unfortunately, it can take up to 14 weeks to approve an application (or at least that's when they recommend you call if you have't heard anything). I suppose that they may be verifying one or two things with your application if it has moved on from "under consideration," to "under further consideration." Alternatively, the caseworker may be discussing the application with somebody more senior in order to seek some clarification.

Hopefully it won't be much longer!

Called up early Feb and was told it is under consideration - Any reason why such a delay, Has anyone had success getting any info other than just the status?

Any others from similar timelines? who have got their Visa or still waiting?

Under Further Consideration

Post by mbasaaga » Fri Feb 13, 2009 8:49 am

My wife and son applied for a dependent tier 1 visa and it has followed the same pattern.

Applied in last week of dec
payment deducted 5th jan
status - Under Further Consideration

Does anyone know what under further consideration exactly mean? the CC just said it means under process but i have read the forums and there has been significant delay in processing for applications under 'further consideration'.. we needed to travel out of UK by end of march and this is really annoying..

Regards,

Srivi.. did you apply for Urgent Treatment or just applied and got back the approval.. becos there are applicants 2-4 (see JAN-FEB 2009 UK Applicants - timelines) who applied ur time and are told "Under further consideration" even today when they called...

can you post your time lines in the JAN-FEB 2009 UK Applicants - timelines -
http://www.immigrationboards.com/viewto ... 097#227097
so that respective ppl will have an idea abt their applications..

CONGRATS anyway.. way to go
