What if Masters Degree Duration is of One Year only !!!

I have a very Urgent Query, any body please reply ASAP. Shall be really grateful.

If the Masters Degree duration is of One Year only, Can it effect ? As I am showing the same degree for getting 35 points and 10 points for English Medium .... Anybody like this got approval ??? Please reply.

I don't think there is any requirement that master degree should be of certain duration. I think what matters is whether your master degree is recognised by NARIC as equivalent to British taught master degree.

It is comparable to British Taught Master Degree

So we can claim 10 points for English language also ? with the same degree ?

I have MA degree from UK university, duration of one year and I got approved March 2007 and now have applied for extention claiming 35 points for my degree.

So dont worry go ahead and if you have MA degree (even of one year), claim your 35 points.

If Uni gives you a letter that your medium of instruction was English, then its okay.

So we can claim 10 points for English language also ? with the same degree ?

I think 10 points for English language cannot be claimed on the basis of your one year master degree, unless you have done your bachelor degree in english medium, and your University certifies that your Bachelor degree was taught in English

A Taught Masters course (sometimes known as "postgraduate qualifications by coursework") is a taught course lasting 1 year full-time
