schengen visa to spain for 3weeks

Post by tanya_cz » Thu Jan 22, 2009 11:47 pm

hello,
I am from Belarus and hopefully will be returning to UK in April,
with my unmarried partner 2yr visa. I have been in UK about 2 years
on visitor visas and going back to belarus in march.
i have had schengen visas issued before for usually 6 months, with
the 'max stay 5 days' etc
We are plan to go to spain in May for 3 weeks, how can you get it
for longer stay?
thanks for any info from anyone who knows the details of schengen visas
T

You will have to show the embassy why you want to stay longer. If it is for touristic purposes then include proof of hotel/ticket bookings in your applications.

As you do not yet have the UMP visa, you need to apply outside the UK. If there is no Spanish embassy in Belarus, maybe try the Spanish Embassy in Russia (or else Ukraine), as maybe that consulate deals with Belorussian nationals.
