The Swiss embassy website's visa page would be the obvious place to get confirmation. And you can read the requirements.

A total of 25 states, 22 from the European Union states and 3 non-EU members (Iceland, Norway and Switzerland) have implemented its provisions so far.

At the time of the implementation of the Schengen acquis into EU law, Ireland and the United Kingdom were the only EU members that did not sign up to the original Schengen Convention of 1990, and retained a right to opt out of the application of the rules after their conversion into European Union law. Thus, they have not ended border controls with other EU Member States, but do apply the provisions relating to police and judicial co-operation, which form part of the Schengen acquis. The exact legal position of the UK in relation to such co-operation has been limited by decision of the European Court of Justice, and another case has recently been taken to the court by the UK government. Border posts and checks were removed between states in the Schengen area.[3] A common Schengen visa allows travel for tourism, business visits or temporary transit for employment purposes. Non-EU citizens who hold standard EU format residence permits of a Schengen state enjoy freedom of travel to other Schengen states for a period of up to 90 days.

Switzerland’s link-up to the Schengen Information System - which enables information to be shared on wanted and missing people, those refused entry, and lost and stolen property - was secured before its membership could be agreed. In November the Ministers for Justice and Home Affairs concluded that Switzerland met the criteria laid down in the Community acquis.

The Commission is certain that the Swiss authorities will take all the necessary steps to ensure that air border controls can be lifted as planned in March 2009.

Ireland, Cyprus, Romania, Bulgaria and Liechtenstein

Except for Ireland and the UK all others are itching to join in. Liechtenstein will do so this year it seems.
Aiming at travelling to the UK with my wife and not with an EEA FP!
