HSMP application from USA(indian citizen)

HSMP application from USA(indian citizen)

Hi Everyone,

This is my first query on this discussion board and I am expecting lot of information from all u guys.

I am an Indian citizen but currently I am in USA, Please let me know how the process for applying HSMP would differ for me. Also kindly let me know whether I need to go for Tier 1 or HSMP...as I am not in India....

Hi There,

Well you need to apply under HSMP as Tier as of now is only for india and uk.
For the rest of ur answers, i believe seniors can help you much better...

Your citizenship does not influence which scheme you apply for or from where. Your country of legal residence at the time of application determines which and where.

As advised above, you need to apply for HSMP from US, unless to you plan to leave US and return to India pretty soon. In that case you can apply for Tier 1 from India.

Search the forum and you will find almost all the information you need to apply for either.

1. Process will remain same, nothing will change.
2. This visa no longer called HSMP, its renamed as Tier1. However, people still use it as it meant for Highly Skilled Migrants.
