Applied on 19th of jn from VFS BLR.

Status: application forwarded to BHC

Hi Guys,

I called BHC Chennai today to check how their ques were, and i was told tat they have a huge backlog as this is the student visa processing season. But i dont see why student visas should affect our applications. Dont they have different ECO's for different applications like tourist, student , tier1 etc?

HMMMMM... so all that 7-15working days etc is not actually going to happen. It is going to take real long. They used to process dependant applications in 4-5day, but thats history now...............

Cheers

As far as I understand that aiting times is for the Home Office in UK. The dates given are not what BHCs are working on as you can see on the forum many people who applied in the 1st week on jan have received their visas.

Cheers

That is perfect. It means you cannot take any fund support from UK govt ...like council tax...all your expenses should be paid by you.....and 2ndly 'doctor in training' job you cannot do.....everything else job/business you can do. everyone gets these lines so dont worry.

Congrats.

Application submitted for Work Permit EC

Post by pjoshi007 » Mon Feb 09, 2009 2:26 pm

Hey guys:

I am relatively new to this forum. I have been living in the UK for the past 4 years and I am now in India to get an EC for my work permit. My details are:
Applied: 28th January 2009
Status: Forwarded to British High Commission

When I called the BHC they said that they are doing secondary checks, didn't understand what that means.
Also I have just been told by my classmates that the college where I was studying in UK has been closed down. I don't know what will happen if they try to check anything from the college...

Does BHC do integra checks on work permits?
How many days does it take to process the application?

I am very very nervous

Thanks in advance guys for your help.

Dude.. do you mean to say you applied for Tier2 (G)?? as WP no longer exists...

TO get better responses for your query you better off post your query in the below thread..

http://www.immigrationboards.com/viewforum.php?f=39

And it would be good if you can keep you details like..

Type of Applications: Initial Tier2 (G) from what ?? or very new??
Does you company has Sponser A- Grade certificate
Did you get the Certificate of sponsership from your company?

Good luck...

Hi!
It is actually work permit coz I got my approval before Tier 1 came into affect.
The comapny who applied for me is a well established company and has already applied 13 work permits in the past 2 years.
Thanks
