Srivi.. did you apply for Urgent Treatment or just applied and got back the approval.. becos there are applicants 2-4 (see JAN-FEB 2009 UK Applicants - timelines) who applied ur time and are told "Under further consideration" even today when they called...

Even I don't know the difference b/w "under consideration" and "under further consideration". Anyone please share your experience.

I had a job offer since Nov and can not start he work till I get Tier-1.

My wife and son applied for a dependent tier 1 visa and it has followed the same pattern.

Applied in last week of dec
payment deducted 5th jan
status - Under Further Consideration

Does anyone know what under further consideration exactly mean? the CC just said it means under process but i have read the forums and there has been significant delay in processing for applications under 'further consideration'.. we needed to travel out of UK by end of march and this is really annoying..

Yes, Along with maintenance funds proof (bank statements for 3 months), I did sent the following documents:-

1. for spouse --> Marriage Certificate
2. for kids --> Birth certificate

No need of utility bills and all.

By God's grace, my Tier-1 applications (main+3 dependents) were approved. Received the stamped passports on 05-feb-2009.

Checked status on 13-Feb-2009: Package sent on 12th. To ring HO if i dont recieve it by 16th.

Checked status on 16-Feb-2009: Actually package still not sent. Ready to be sent somewhere with despatch department. No clear idea as of to when it may be sent!!!!

Many people are getting the status - "under further consideration", that apparently means a delay, but thankfully not a very long one in my case..

Called HO today, the lady told me my application is "under consideration"!
I wondered why this " consideration" takes so long!

It's been 10 weeks since I applied, still no news!
I called them again this morning, the operator said my application STILL under consideration!

I requested if I can ask for urgent treatment, due to the need to go abroad soon. What she replied was, I can't do that, but I can withdraw my application if I need my passport back! they are not helping at all. If I want to withdraw my application, I wouldn't have spent 750 pounds, time and effort to submit for the application!!

Anyone can help, how can I request for 'urgent treatment', is there such a thing?
