worried - overstayed visa last year

Post by lilly-pad » Sun Feb 15, 2009 6:20 pm

I over stayed a Hong Kong training visa by 2 days.

I'd checked with my sponcer if the date stamp was ok (knowing i'd be leaving 2 days after it said on my entry docutment) and they said it'd be fine, turns out it wasn't. I've never had any problems with other visas i've had.

Im applying for a Q1 USA visa. Will this have any effect on my application.

If the issue involves only two days, you can explain it to the consulate and based upon my analysis, you should not have a problem.
