Unfortunately, not! I think they have sent the package through RoyalMail 1st class signed for service.

I aksed the lady whether decision was made - she said I can't advise you if the decision was made, we only know that a package was sent to you. What does this mean?

I am not sure what that means. You could have asked for the Rocorded Delivery Number, so that you can track the delivery.

Sometimes they do give the recorded delivery number and sometimes they dont.

Congratulations, finally you will get it very soon. I don't know when a case worker will be assigned to consider my application.

They have provided me the recorded delivery number to me but "recorded signed for" items can only be tracked when they are delivered.

I'm worried - why did they refuse to tell me if a decision has been made? I did not ask them to tell me if it was approved/refused.

Maybe it's because they don't know?

I imagine that the poeple on the end of the phone only have a little computer screen with very basic information regarding the applications.

I had applied for Tier-1 (General) Visa on 30th Dec 08 through Bangalore VFS & by God's grace, it got approved by 16th January 09. Received the passport (with the Visa stamping on it) & all my documents by 19th Morning. Had requested for a Visa validity start date by end of March & thankfully got the same :)

Many thanks to all the members & contributors of this forum as though I applied through a consultant, I did take couple of cues from this forum while preparing the documents.

Was really a pleasant surprise to me as it took only 12 working days for BHC to successfully process my case even with a slightly tricky confusion in my application. Looks like, though BHC might be a bit strict in their processing, they're equally logical & fair, not to reject

cases on grounds of irrational & silly excuses. Thanks to their cool approach ! 8)

& Apologies for this update being a bit late, was really busy with some work et al. :(

Called HO, my status has been changed to 'Under consideration', don't know when the visa can be issued?

Anybody got news around my date of application?

That's significant development. My case was "under consideration" for 3 days before parcel was dispatch. You should expect the output early next week if everything goes well!

Yes, James.. your sent date is 3days after HSMP's and the cases are also different like ur is WP>Tier1G and HSMP is extension.. we shd allow 2-3days for those guys to work on our cases...

HSMP... So i know u r still keeping everything crossed, Goodluck with the news..

i was just wondering how come T1G cases outside UK are finalized in 72hours in some cases whereas those in UK are taking minimum 6-7weeks.. God knows..

cheers

Thanks a lot mate, you helped me keeping myself cool these days, thank you! Yeah, stupid UKBA. Actually visa was stamped on 11th feb but its valid from 8th feb. But still its 8 days they kept quite and did NOT tell me anything apart from rotten "under consideration" response!!

Will surely keep visiting this forum. Infact this was the forum which helped me getting my initial HSMP visa too.

Good Luck!

NO issues later;
If you had sent ur application to HO for extension before HSMP expiry ie 30Jan..

In this case you are OK...
