AIR FARE

Post by GoforUK » Fri Feb 20, 2009 10:28 am

I think it will be good if some one posts the cheap air fare rates /baggage allowances in various aircrafts. It would be very helpful once the visa is stamped.I am doing ground work for the same and till now found

1.AIR INDIA
2.Qatar
3.British Airways
4.Srilankan

To be moderately fine.People can share their thoughts on this.

Should probably be in the general or other category rather than Tier 1.

Jet Airways and Air India are the cheapest and they have direct flights to london too.

its totally useless opting for any airline like Qatar/Etihad/Srilankan/Emirates who will first take you somewhere else and then to london

just a wastage of time and these kind of flights are usually not cheaper than direct ones.

BA/VirginAtlantic are a tad costlier than Jet/AI so decide on what you want.

For people leaving from Mumbai/Bangalore they can also opt for Kingfisher as they have direct flight between LHR to Mum/BLR.

Also, dont forget to buy Travel insurance,it doesnt hurt much should be around 1.5k for flight to london

Guys please stop posting logistic queries in this forum. This is purely to discuss Tier1(General) visas, not Air Fare or 'Where to find nice english beer'.

Please apply some common sense before posting a query.

Dude , Initially I was hesitant to start a new topic reg Air fare but when I searched forum found lots of new topics reg this like

http://www.immigrationboards.com/viewto ... hlight=air
http://www.immigrationboards.com/viewto ... hlight=air
http://www.immigrationboards.com/viewto ... hlight=air

Also with international air fare prices soaring ,thought people outside from UK will benefit from this.Nothing more.
