Passport expiring in next 2 years

Post by gopikrishnatb » Fri Feb 20, 2009 5:59 pm

Hi all,

I am about to apply for "Tier-1 General" next month. But my passport expiry date is 2011, i.e. two years from now.

But the Tier-1 will be aproved for 3 years, right. Will it be any problem?
If I go to UK, after 2 years do I need to apply for new passport in order to stay there? Please suggest.

Its alright. This wont be a problem at all. Apply for a new passport before it expires with your country's Consulate/Embassy in UK. Thereafter you can choose to either get the VISA transferred to new passport or carry both passport whenever you cross an immigration post.
