Tier 1 Approved: What to do next?

Hi all,

I just got my Tier 1 visa and I had a few queries such as-

• What are the general terms and conditions of this visa?
  Do I need to maintain a minimum yearly income to get an extension after 3 years? What other factors might affect this extension decision?
  Do I need to apply for a workpermit separately to be elligible to work in the UK?

Can anyone please help me with the queries? Also, is there any UK Govt. website with guidance on the above?

I have seen all of them. But these pages give you a lot of information on how you should apply, not much on things you need to consider after the visa is granted.

I am slightly intrigued by your questions.

Tier 1 allows you to work in the UK.

As far as I'm aware, as long as u can provide evidence according to the requirements 12 months prior to your date of application, ie: in 2 years time, that should be fine. Bear that in mind with regards to the minimum previous earnings and also maintenance fund(above £800).

Factors which might affect extension including as above if u don't fulfill the requirements and any major convictions you've had.
