AUGUST 2009 EXPIRY . CAN I APPLY IN MARCH 2009 .CONFUSIONS

Hi ,

My HSMP expires in August 2009 and as per documents extension application in July 2009 .

But would like to apply in March 2009 itself (switch to tier 1) .

Reasons
1) Need to be in India for sometim in June .
2) people wont give u contract if you just have 3- 4 months left .


1) I called Home office .
They say at my risk , possible based on case worker etc .

2) Called workpermit.com (visa agency)

They told Yes . I can

3) Called another agency

They said No

4) My lawyer (first hsmp application)

Says YES . can


Can somebody pull me out of this troubled mind with a YES OR NO based on experience

Reasons for early .

1) I need to travel to India for a marriage in July .

2) No body gives a fresh contract if the visa is valid for only 3 months

3) I just need 1 more year extension to get PR so no need to wait till July .



Please Guide !!!! .

Yes you can apply.. if you scan through the forum you will be able to see many people did the same. Best is if you specify the wedding reason in the cover letter and to be more safe, if you can send in your travel tickets (If you have booked) not required though....

I am in similar situation & called the home office, they said do it any your own risk.

Have you applied or do u know someone who has ?

You can apply for extension

You will get extension from march 2009 not from august 2009
