File Tier 1 application: Can you please verify

Post by smallick » Sat Feb 28, 2009 6:40 pm

Hi,

I am ready to file for Tier 1 (General) application. Kindly verify my documents

Age :
Points claimed 0

Previous Earning
Points Claimed : 45
Documents :
Payslips from 1st March 2008 - 28th February 2009 (However I am not claiming points for the month of July 2008 since the net pay and bank statement amount do not match)
Bank Statements from 12 Febuary 2008 - 28th February 2009

Academic Qualification
Points claimed : 30
Documents:
Original degree Certificate
Original UK evaluation certificate from NARIC

Previous UK Earnings
Points claimed: 5
Documents : None

English Language Requirement
Points Claimed : 10
Documents :
Original IELTS certificate with score of 7.5

Maintenance Fund
Points claimed 10
Documents :
Bank statements of E-savings account confirming £5000 for the last 3 months

I have my doubts with regard to my previous earnings section and Maintenance fund section.

Do I require a letter from Bank that money from E-savings account is withdrawable at any point.

Can you please verify and let me know if it is indeed ok to go ahead with my application

Cheers

Are all the bank statements original or internet printouts?

Did you get a letter from the bank saying that the maintenance funds have been in the account for the period mentioned?

Are you sure that you can miss July 2008, as per my understanding you have to show payslips for 12 consecutive months in the last 15 months?

For your UK experience, what evidence are you showing (I guess payslips, if yes will you mention it in your cover letter)

Have you got a letter from the employer, stating your net and gross salaries?

Thanks Tapinder for your reply. Here are the answers:

All bank statements are original, no internet printouts.

Those are again bank statements for 3 month period for E-savings account showing the transactions. I checked with bank, and they said they will not issue any other letter since the statements show the amount and transactions.

I will submit payslips for 12 consecutive months. However, I want to claim points for 11 months. Will that be a problem?

Yes, payslips. I will mention it in cover letter.

Is this required, since I am providing payslips and bank statements of 12 consecutive months and the net salary matches with the bank statements. The guidance mention two proofs from seperate sources.

Kindly suggest if I missed out anything.

Bank statements are fine. You do not need a letter if the statements are original (earlier I thought you have internet printouts for your e-savings account)

UK experience will be shown from payslips

Letter from employer is not required, your payslips and bank statements is enough. Make sure the payslip's net pay and the transfer to bank account is exactly same, if not, a letter from employer will make your application strong.

Only concern I have is in regards to the july payslip, you are not claiming points for this month. The guidance for tier 1 says that salary points should be based on 12 consecutive months. Please get more opinions on this aspect.

Everything seems fine, however, I will ask few others to agree with me.

P60

When are you applying for an extension? How is P60 perceived? When I applied, I did send my P60 eventhough it didn't correspond with the claiming period. My Tier 1 application was approved in Jan 08. I sent payslips and bank statement as my proof of income.

Good luck.

Thanks for the response. You have a point Tapinder, I will chase my previous employer for a letter to justify July 2008 slip. I changed companies in November 2008, and hence getting a letter from previous employer may pose a problem. But I will try to manage it

Regarding P60, my claim period is March 2008-Feb 2009. Hence I do not have P60 for the current financial year. However, I have P60 for last financial year, but do not know if that will be of any help.

Kindly suggest.

The letter from the Bank must say that the statements are authentic does it need to also mention that the maintenance funds are maintained as well. (In my case they are not for a particular account for all the period)

You do not need a letter from Bank stating the statements are authentic unless you submit internet printouts. The same stands for maintenance funds as well.
