EC checklist: Please confirm

Hello ALL,

I would be going to the VFS office in Hyderabad-India for my HSMP visa stamping soon.

Can you please confirm that the following list of documents forms the part of the EC checklist

ALSO IS IT MANDATORY TO PROVIDE ALL ORIGINAL DOCUMENTS???

• VAF Form
• One Passport Size Photographs
• Valid Passport
• Photo copy of the Passport
• HSMP Approval Letter
• Print out of Email invitation from friend offering accommodation.
• Salary Increment Letter from employer.
• Salary Certificate for last six months.
• Income Tax Returns
• Statement of Estimated Expenditure & Funds Available.
• Bank Statements for six months to establish funds available
• Experience Letters from previous employers
• Education Certificates

Hi Ravi,

I think the requirements are different depending on the country you are applying from.

I suppose it's not necessary to provide all 6 bank statements, if you could just provide some old ones and a current one showing funds would be enough. I also dont think it's needed to provide Education Certificates and Previous Employers reference letter, those are needed for HSMP approval only. The EC officer is only interested in knowing if you have enough funds to establish yourself without needing govermment help and if you will stay at a suitable accomodation. But then again, it differs from each location...

Please, could those of you who have already got your ECs share your thoughts?
