Maintanance Fund

Post by desaisonalr » Tue Mar 10, 2009 10:24 pm

Hi,

I am currently on Work pemit, staying along with my wife and Kid. I am planning for Tier1 but i dont have enough funds in my bank.
Is it possible for me to apply for tier 1 without my dependents, so that later i can apply for their dependent stamping.

Regards,
Sonal

Please dont quote me on this...

I dont think its possible. You will need apply together otherwise their dependant visa's will be invalid...

The other choice is you send them back home and apply for dependant visa from home country after you get your Tier 1 approved.

Just to reiterate, you need to show £800 (for urself) and £522 for every dependant....proof of funds for 3 months before applying and the funds must be there in your bank a/c for every single day..

Senior members please advise.

Hope this helps!!

You can do that, but you would need to pay extra money while applying for your dependent stamping, which would be huge.

Don't you have any amount in any other bank or offshore for instance?

I would agree with coolchap as once T1 is issued it will override your WP. I would do what coolchap said and would conform this from BIA via email or call....

Just t let u know.. you can show funds in Multiple accounts... in your name.
