Info Wanted

Post by YA11 » Wed Mar 11, 2009 10:11 am

Hi,

I am planning to apply for Tier 1(General) Visa next week. Wanted to confirm a few things:
1) We have to fill the VAF9 application form and also the PBS Appendix1: Tier1(General) Migrant Self-Assessment form. Any other forms we need to fill?
2) Biometrics would be taken the day I go to the VISA office to submit my application?
3) I satisfy the points requirement in the current point based system and have collected the following docs:
a) Passport(For Age)
b) Original Bachelors Certificate(For Education and English Language Proof)
c) Bank Slips(For Maintenance Fund)
d) Salary Slips for last 12 months(For Salary)

As the new rules come into place from 1st of next month, do you think it would be safe to apply this month?

Thanks

2. Yes

3a Ok

3b Ok

3c Ok for mantainence fund

3d. Salary slips OK but you need another proof of earning which will relate to your earnings in Salary slip so you also need bank statements for last 12 months to match the net salary on the salary slips

Itis safe to apply but do ASAP

Hi,

I have a question. In case our application for UK Tier1 Visa is rejected, the application fee we paid will be refundable or not.

Thanks

Yes, I am collecting the bank slips showing salary credit for the last 12 months too. Forgot to mention it in the first post.

Btw, am I right about the forms that I need to fill?

In the form, we also have to mention the intended date for arrival in UK. This can be a tentative date?

Yes, you can give a tentative date.. but give date which is logical.. for applications applied out of UK date shd be like if you apply on 1st april you date should be something like 3-4weeks after u application date so that the VFS/UKEmbassy feels the dates are realistic..

What are the different modes of paying the fees? Is Demand Draft compulsory or can I go there and pay by credit card?
