PSW waiting time

Post by luckydip » Mon Mar 02, 2009 3:27 pm

Hi guys, I applied on the 22nd of October and got confirmation on 25th but havent heard from them yet. What is happening with HO? i called them and they say under consideration.
What is the maximum time limit that they can make us wait?
Thanx

Samsonite123,

Just out of interest , did u complete a degree from a university or a college?
Just thinking whether HO is taking time for those poeple who has completed their qualification from a college through and not directly from a university (e.g. university master's degree)

I don't think any immigration law will be implemented retrospectively, it will only affect those who apply from when it is implemented. And tier 4 rules don't have anything to do with PSW as only school with HO permission can recruit international students anyways.

there is no point taking any legal actions. You know what that is? they just have put a temporary stop or in other words they dont want us to get the passports because there are alot of jobs cut down and they are allowing more time for British and european people to take over the new jobs arising.its nothing to do with if ur degree is bogus, but to some extents.they should have start sending our passports from the begining of this month. Good Luck to everyone who applied in October.just be patient.

I did Master and it did take quite long compared to the other cases that was sent in Jan. I applied through legal representative and they said there were 3 people who received passport back on 9th March who applied same period as mine. :D

Is there anyone who has applied in February09 and has got PSW visa?
My friend has done Master's and has applied in early Feb and has not received PSW yet. Though HO website says they are now considering applications received before 20th February 09.
