URGENT: Will my employer have to advertise to extend?

My old work permit (TIER 2) comes to an end in August. Will my employer have to advertise in order to extend my tier 2 work permit? Am I protected under the Transitional Arrangements regarding advertising and what happens on 1 April or do these new laws have anything to do with extensions of Tier 2

I don't think they need to advertise the post for a work permit renewal.
