Date used to calculate the matintenece funds period?

Post by nokia33 » Wed Mar 11, 2009 5:57 pm

The date used to calculate the 3 months period for maintenance funds: do they calculate it from the date when we submitted the application or is it the day when someone actually looks into the case

I am asking as I am 2 days short of the 3 maintenance month period before 1st of april, and cant apply after 1st because of no bachelor degree

It should be the date of application not the date caseworker looks in to your application. Before that you need to have bank letter stating 90 days fund period.Even, you should be getting letter from bank max a day before your application.
New rules should be applicable from April6.

The three-month duration should be covering three full calender months within less than one month prior to the date when you submit your application. On every single day, the balance on your account has to be more than the required amount.

And the rule comes into effect from 31st march and not April 6th.

If the date on the February statement is after the 8th of Feb then it should be fine.
