Tier 1 - Insufficient documents for maintenance funds.

Post by Bobby78 » Thu Mar 12, 2009 6:21 pm

Hi,
I am one of those unfortunate guys who misinterpreted the guidelines for maintenance funds for my tier 1 general visa. I ended up sending them my bank statements from my current account where the balance fell below 800 pounds for 5 days. I have appealed regarding this as I have full statements covering the period with enough funds from my saving account.

Has anyone has had similar problem? Did they appeal with a lawyer? Should I get a solicitor? Any comments on my appeal being successful?

Very worried.

Thank you.

Hi Bobby,

Did you get any feedback on your query? I was also wondering if cash ISA's (with anytime withdrawal) can be included as part of required funds. Would greatly appreciate inputs to these.

Thanks in advance.

As far as I know, Cash ISAa are accepted as a proof for funds. Senior members can comment more on this.

Thanks Smallick for your prompt reply. If anyone can chip in with their previous experience/s regarding this, I think it would be helpful for all members.

Logically speaking it is cash at ones instant disposal, hence it should work fine but if it is backed by senior members/ persons who have done so earlier then that would be great.

Thanks again.

Hi,

I did a bit of look around on earlier msgs posted and found that ISA is an accepted form of funds (I think !).

But could not find any confirmation apart from inference that MoneyPenny got his visa renewed submitting an ISA.

MP, if you are reading this, pl could you confirm this?

Thanks.
