Please be aware that the customer contact centre is currently experiencing very high call demand and therefore you may experience difficulties in contacting us. We apologise for this and for any inconvenience this may cause you.

Post by birdee » Sat Mar 14, 2009 10:56 pm

Hi,

I am on TierI(general), I have been blessed with baby and got his passport today only. 2 questions

1) How long does it take for the dependant visa to come through?
2) Can i travel to india without visa on kids passport and get it done from there?

As i plan to travel in near future to india and do not wish get stuck here 'coz of visa.

Any help of information would be appreciated. Thanks

Rohit,
That's Good that you have leave to remain. You can follow the link

http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/conta ... ginperson/

for premium service. It costs 200 pound more than the normal application but worth it. You need to call 4 weeks in advance to make an appointment.
Best of luck with your FIL's health and your future application.

Regards,
Wahab

wahab,
Mine back AFC again this morning. Also I was told that the urgent treatment request I sent last monday wasn't passed on to the case worker until last Friday, despite track on their system since last Tuesday. So annoying... :x

I called today 17.03.09 at 10:30am and status was ' waiting for consideration '. I am thinking stop calling them as it wastage of time and money and there is no staisfactory and trustworty answers......its so painful....

Can anyone tell me if it is appropriate to request an urgent decision at the time of application if I have a continuous job offer? i.e The job I am currently in is on-going.
