Please help on reapplication

Post by yodiyokun » Tue Jul 12, 2005 1:08 pm

Mu husband just got his decision and he was refused.
he claimed
education 15 points awarded
work experience 25 points declined
earnings 35 points awarded
spouse 10 points awarded

Ho said the refernce letter from his current employer did not state explicitly his responsibilities

Now hes going to get another reference letter and resubmit all the relavant documents but I want to know if all the intial points given will not be rescinded during this paid review.
and he dint submit a tax return with the first one because it wasnt available. Its still not available but he wants to include a letter from his employer stating that his tax deucted has been remmitted to the appropriate authorities and they await the tax certificate.

Does he have a chance

I feel that since your husband has already been awarded points in earnings section, submission of ITR at this stage will not be a big supportive evidence. You better concentrate on experience letter..
Before the experts comment on ur case, u need to provide some more info to the forum: like was ur application over 28 yrs or what, does the work exp includes specialist/senior level & the break-up of points that YOU claimed.
All the best

Ha thanks,
I listed the points claimed and awarded in my first mail.
the application was for 28 years and over and did not claim experience in speacialist /senior role.
we actually claimed 85 points and got 60 we were only given zero in the work experience section.
So how can we convince the case worker about the experience being a graduate level one
also does the new reference have to be signed by the same person.
thanks

What does your husband do? And since when has he been working?
In the fell clutch of circumstance
I have not winced nor cried aloud.
Under the bludgeonings of chance
My head is bloody, BUT UNBOWED

Im also a naija
my husband is in IT and has worked for 5 yrs+

I think the issue was that 2 of his refernces just gave a general letter not specifically stating what he was doing.
if we reapply now will they consider they have given us 60 points before....?
and can they take a letter from tax consultant on tax issues since the tax certificate of last year isnt out yet..cos of this electronic format they have changed to
