hi Coolchap,

mine is extension application HSMP(Non JR) -->TIER 1
ExtApp,

Thanks for the thunderous response!!

Any idea what questions they asked your employeer?

Did you not submitt a letter from the employeer confirming your employment etc..?
they asked my HR to confirm my employment status and salary details. i did submit a letter from employer breaking down the gross and net salary along with the date of deposit. all in a nice table and few other employment details
In a way its better they checked....atleast this will help to speed up ur approval...

Good Luck mate.

Employer check

Post by wp_to_tier1_19 » Sat Mar 21, 2009 11:02 pm

Regarding employer check, I have something to share with you...

I submitted letter from employer stating that I have been employed with them for the past 14 months. I have not submitted any salary break down..

I learnt that they have not contacted my employer during the applicaton process. But, in some of my colleagues case, they contacted my employer to know whether they are really working .

Regarding earnings, home office can easily find the earning of the applicant based on the workpermit reference number. If those earnings do not match, with the earnings supplied by the cadidate, then they will ask the employer about the earnings...(this is what happened in some of my friend's case).

Hi ExtApp, usually you need to redial again and again then you will get through, it totally depends upon your luck that how many tries you need to get through. Second option is ring in the morning exact 9 then you have more chances.

ABOUT HSMP TIER-1 VISA

Post by samfrmleeds » Mon Mar 23, 2009 11:44 am

I want to apply for HSMP TIER-1 I am here in U.K as a workpermit holder dependant. I am earning £21000/per annum with university and they pay me direct into my bank so for this i have got both evidence like bank statment and salary slip.

But i also work sat/sun Weekends in a restaurant where they give me cash with weekly salary slip i am also paying tax on this its just they are not paying me into my bank account they pay me cash on hand every week with payslip. so pls help me what other evidence i have to provide in this case as i have got payslip but no bank statment which shows my weekend jobs pay entry on it.

thanks
sam

This might have already been answered but I was wondering if the Home Office sends you an email if the application has been approved and stamped?

As per my knowledge UKBA(inside the UK) only send you reference letter. Nothing else.

Thanks for that.

I've been thinking today how much easier our lives would have been if they had an rss feed with their report of all the statuses on the website per reference code.
:) Heck, even a manually excel sheet would have done.

But I guess nobody within the Home Office would think like that.

Hi All,

Just wondering what if somebody were to be jobless at the time of applying for Tier 1 within UK (due to redundancy etc.) and not mention it in the application(as it is not required to be anywhere in the form). Would the HO contact the ex-employer?

Hi ejobs_01,
I think purpose of employment verification is to confirm your employment and earnings for the period you claimed points. So, if you left the company after submitting your application then HO has no concern about this as far as there is some one in the company who can confirm your previous employment and earnings.

Now here is one doubt, if the company has liquidated and no body is there to answer phones or emails then UKBA can use this as a reason of objection i.e. 'Unable to verify employment/salary with employer' if you have not mentioned this in cover letter.

ExtApp,

My employer has not been contacted at all. I have a very close wrappo with my HR and I have requested them to let me know if HO contacts them....

Any update from your end?

Thanks for asking!
