Points for previous earnings

Post by Visa_Novice » Sun Mar 22, 2009 8:44 pm

Hi,
I am working in UK for last 12 months, have received 11 payslip from my employer.
I have been getting one component of my Indian salary as well for last 12 months which totals around 1,00,000 INR.
I am getting 20 points for my last 11 payslips of UK.
If I convert this 1 Lac INR into GBP then it comes around 7000 GBP (Considering 1 GBP = 75 INR, D-band multiplier 5.5 ) equilent pay. So if I add it in my UK salary then I secure 30 Points which give me extra cushion.

Now my question is
1) Shall I include these Indian earnings in my application ?
2) Am I right in calculating equilent GBP salary? I mean after working in UK for 12 months, do UKBA apply multiplier of 5.5 for earnings of D band countries ? I have read somewhere that after working in UK for such a long period of time they will not apply multiplier while converting Indian salary rather they will just consider currency exchange rate. Corect me if I am wrong.
3) Is it safe to say that I was getting pay in India as well ?
Kindly help.

Thanks

Guidance notes page 22 states:

allowances (such as accommodation, •schooling or car allowances) that form part of an applicant’s remuneration package;

It can be inferred from the above statement that since your onshore-offshore salary is part of your renumeration package, it can be used and should be considered.But make sure to explain the same in your cover letter.

hi..

you can include your indian earnings... but... you would not be able to use the uplift ratio as this has been earned in india while you are in UK. So you could just use the indian earnings by multiplying it with the GBP exchange rate...

hope this helps...
