Applying in April with new rules in effect....!!!!!!!!1

Dear Friends,

Am applying in the second week of April when the new rules will come into effect. Am not sure if i would be eligible, so help me if I can apply with the below attributes:

Qualification : MCA

Age : 28

Previous Earnings - 6 Lakhs PA

English : I have letter from the university that my MCA was in english.

Maintainence Fund - I have around 4 Lakhs in my salary savings account ( Pls confirm if i can use this amount as Maintainence Fund)

Pls help guys, so that I can start accumulating my documents ASAP.

Go to UKBA points calculator. Fill in all the details and if you score atleast 75 points +10 points for English+10 points for Maintenance funds then you should be fine. You should also read the Guidance notes notes avalable on UKBA website.

Maintainence Fund - 10

But the new rules where they say that now the earnings should be 20,000 pounds equivalent, so am afraid i might miss the bus.

Now if you can tell me that if i can apply....

Another doubt is that can we take color printouts of the form, or the black and white printout is fine.

Pls clarify....

If you are scoring 45 points on earning now and have a cusion of 20 points (90-75) overall, I am not sure why would you have problems? Can you clearly state what your confusion is? The points to be awarded for earnings have not changed. They have just taken off the under 20k GBP slabs.

how did u calculate previsou earnings as 45points

Color / black and white any of them is OK... i submitted in blacknwhite recently

Hi Ramesh,

For previous earnings, am using this formula:

600,000 X 5.3 = 2120000 / 73 = 46561 GBP ( which is more than 43,000 GBP and the slab for 45 points)

Let me know if you have any doubts in this.

## I have a doubt here, I have maintained 4 lakhs in my savings accouts, to be shown as maintainence fund. Can i go ahead and show this, ir i need a current accout for this. Pls advice.

Hi coolsats,

You can show the bank balance from savings account towards the maintenance.
