Advance salary - Deputation note.

Post by Visa_Novice » Wed Mar 25, 2009 12:00 am

WP to tier-1 in-country

1) I have got advance of 3500 GBP which is written in my deputation note. can I use it as a proof to show that I have received 3500 GBP as advance since this money is not getting reflected in my bank statement.

2) If I use this deputation notes then it shows that I am getting monthly allowance in UK. I have been getting salary and salary slip on a monthly basis.

Am I on allowance or salary ?
Does it matter whether I am on salary or allowance ?

3) Shall I use my deputation note to show my advance payment? but no bank statement can be used to cross verify that. Is it ok ?

Thanks.

Hello

These are a few threads (not all) you have started about your application. If you don't start a new one each time it can make things easier for people who may reply.

What is a "deputation note"? "an advance" means a loan in the UK.

Have you been getting paid in India? Are you paying tax in the UK? Are you on an Intra Company Transfer? Is the advance on your payslip? Is all the money you receive from your employer on your payslip? What is the advance for?

If you have answered some of this before, sorry I did not have time to go through all your old threads.

Regards

Why isn't the advance reflected in your bank statement?

hi paperpusher ,

looks like what he is saying about is the advance money big companies pays in advance when they send people overseas and usually they are paid as pounds in hand and will not reflect in any banks .

That cannot be shown as a salary . Most important he cannot show proofs . It wont come in p60 or salary slips or bank statements .So he cannot do anything with that.

Agreed with Mahesh, regarding the deputation note. This money which companies pay as traveller's cheque etc cannot be treated as salary as they are supposed to be your living allowances till you settle down.

Agreed with PaperPusher, regarding the no. of threads opened. It is advisable to put all queries in one thread as I have found duplicate thread (for maintenance funds). Also easy for other forumites to understand your case and advise. People generally lost the plot when switch from one to another thread which could lead to incorrect advise.

Sorry for so many threads but these were as and when I was having queries I raised that... Will take care in future.
Well to answer all your question:
1) Advance Money : It is the amount that big companies pays in advance when they send people overseas and usually they are paid as pounds in hand and will not reflect in any banks .
2) My company is paying tax on behalf of me in UK and I am getting net pay here.
3) I am on Work permit not intra company transfer .
4) Advance amount is displayed in my payslip as advance and it has been calculated in my gross earnings. My Company is paying tax on this advance amount.
5) All of the money reeived from my employer is on my payslip but some of the amount is written as advance while rest all amount is written as Net Pay.
6) This advance is not for initial settlement. Only a small part of it 500 GBP is for initial settlement rest of the amount 3000 GBP is to take care of my spendings from the day 1.
7) Advance is not reflected in my bank account since it has been given to me in hand before start of assignment and I was not having any bank account at that time.

I am able to match all my Net Pay amount reflected in my payslip with amount deposited in bank and reflected in my payslip.

I hope my query is clear now. Could you now suggest me ?

Thanks.

Hey Visa ,

For earnings you need to show 2 proofs FROM 2 DIFFERENT sources .

payslips + bank statements ----> U dont have (wont accept)

Other option is P60 but again i feel p60 is also generated from company and so same source .

I wonder whether you can show p60 + payslips . I dont think so .
