Hi guys,

I managed to get thru to HO this am....

Below is my updates timeline:

23 Mar (AM) - Awaiting Further Consideration
24 Mar (AM) - Awaiting Further Consideration

Only wish I had called later in the eve as ExtApp seemed to have got a better update in the eve.

Anyways hopin for the best..

Good Luck for Ext App....sure we'll see +ve update by this time tomorrow.

Just called my wife and she said our passports came. Here's my timeline

Application Type: WP To Tier 1 + dependent
Date Applied/Docs sent: 23-Jan-2009
Acknolwedgement Received: 27-Jan-2009
19-Mar-2009: Under consideration
20-Mar-2009: Can't get on the queue at the call center
23-Mar-2009: Can't get on the queue at the call center
24-Mar-2009: Documents received. Tier 1 General approved, expiry: 18-Mar-2012

I guess flygirl was right in one of her posts, where she wrote -

Awaiting further consideration - waiting for next lunar eclipse, waiting for pig to fly ??

Adding on to this - May be HO realised it aint gonna happen, so they put it back to UC. Wish it would have been lot simple -

UC - currently been worked on
AFC - Passport is being stamped - This would be well joyable, wudnt it ??

Application Type: WP To Tier 1 + 2 dependents
Date Applied/Docs sent: 04-Feb-2009

but my dependents didn't get the visa since I didn't send the separate dependent applications for them , which i was not aware.

I am having mixed feelings that I am happy that i got the approval and sad since my dependents didn't get the visa and i need to apply for them again by paying Â£400

Sashi.. i think you shd be very happy that you got VISA approved.. now it is not a big deal to get your dependents to get the approval.. just will cost extra money for the simple mistake..

I am very happy that you did finally hear good news after lots of tension..

DOnt delay apply ASAP, but this time check all the info with lots of patient members on tihs board..

I am waiting for this month bank statement.I have requested the bank for it , it may take 5 working days.I am planning to apply after that else i have to apply with month old bank statement not sure whether it is valid or not?

Since there is change in my visa my dependents visas(work permit dependent visa) are not valid now?Is there any lead time is there?

i applied on 23-02-2009 and paid by cheque...( i forgot to write my name and dob on the back of the cheque

my payment has not gone through as yet...

what should i do?

I have called the home office and asked about it they said it would be OK if i apply for dependents with in 7 days and they told me not to delay much.

Some more information is one of my friend also didn't send a separate application for dependents along with his application on 4th march he called the home office and and explained and home office asked him to send the application to Shefeild address.I think home office would have considered my request also if it was not "under consideration" status.

Just sharing this information might be useful other like me.

Hello Sashi..

there are few IMPORTANT things that you need to REMEMBER and not to make a simple mistake again..

1. Maintenance Funds evidence - For this you need to get the recent Bank statements (as you mentioned above) and those statements shd be less than 1month old..

2. Please fill your Dependents applications again becos lots of answers may be different.. just forget what happened till now.. jst remember u got ur new VISA and fill ur dependents applications as per that..

3. I think there will be atleast 28days grace period before u can apply for ur depends - I am not sure on this exact days

4. do send all the dependents related Docs like
a. Marriage certificate
b. birth certificate of ur children
c. Applications separately
d. cover letters separately
n any other docs u sent earlier for dependents applications..

dont worry about 2-3days delay... if u have any question just fire them at this site and there alots of ppl ready to help..

Send them email + post them letter with ur personal details and explain + u can send them FAX

Call them up and ask .
I think they ask us to write basically i think chequeues go to another departments for processing etc .

May be if name is not there ,

better call Ho
