If you will be making an application for further leave to remain under T1(G) and do not intend to travel overseas with your baby before that, you can include the baby as your dependant at that time.
However please note, if you travel outside the UK before your baby obtains leave to remain, you will need to obtain Entry Clearance for the baby before you return to the UK.

The new born child is deemed to have leave to remain in the UK until the main applicant has valid leave.

I have a question relate to new born

Post by HSMP-LINDA » Sun Mar 29, 2009 4:30 pm

My baby is due in the mid of April, and I am going to apply my Tier1 extension at the end of May, i want to apply the visa for my baby as a dependant. However, it will take more than 1 month to get the passport for the baby. Is there any chance I can just send the baby's birth certificate, and HO can issue the VISA paper instead?

Please kindly advice. Thank you in advance.

Fees

Post by letmec2006 » Tue Mar 31, 2009 9:17 am

What is the fees for that is that 600 GBP even for Newborn.

Will that be any different if applying from India where the main applicant is Teir 1 General.

Thanks

hi,
I think the fees is 600 GBP for applications outside UK and 395 GBP within UK.A new born is no different than a dependent.

I might be wrong, but for your new born baby, don't you have to show additional maintenance funds for last 3 months?

Perhaps not:
14.7 - Children born in the UK on or after 1 January 1983 but who are not British Citizens wrote:Maintenance and accommodation requirements do not apply to a person who qualifies under these provisions.
If baby is born in the UK, then see also need for a dependent visa?
