Post by sherlypk » Thu Mar 26, 2009 10:22 am

Hi All,

My mother family visit visa appeal is accepted. Can you please inform what is the next step to do. Do we need to submit new family visit application with all the evidences along with appeal letter.

What is the process of applying after family visit appeal won.

Regards,

sherly

I your appeal against a refusal was accepted you do not have to re-apply, you simply wait for the visa office in your home country to issue the visa!

Ok, you will get the Adjudicators decision in writing within 10 days.

A copy will be also be sent to the Home Office. The HO have between 5-10 days to appeal against the decision if they feel there is a major error in the decision of Adjudicator ( this rarely happens).

If the HO do not appeal, then they will forward the decision to the Embassy where the application is made. There the Manager and ECO will review the decision.

They will send you a "call in letter", basically asking you to bring your mothers passport TB certificate ( if she had it done) and they will want to know when your mother intends to travel.

Once they have got these, they will stamp the visa in your mothers passport. She is then free to travel to the Uk to visit you.

All this could take anything from 4 weeks to 3 months to sort out.

Hope this helps
