Post by asadrani » Thu Jul 21, 2005 6:47 pm

Dear Moderator,

Can you pls. advise if 4 year full time Diploma in Engineering after high school is considered as degree?

Second question - do I have to submit all original certificates, bank statements and salary slips or certified copies are good enough?

Thanks for advise

The best way to know is to send your academic transcript/marksheet and certificate to NARIC

You should send all originals. Since July 15, they only accept originals.

I doubt whether they will recognise the diploma.. but try NARIC
As far as I know, the HND in nigeria that takes 5 years to obtain is not recognised by naric as a degree.
they always say a diploma is a diploma.
just like a postgraduate diploma is not equated to a masters degree.

Dear Asadrani

I have heard the same case. ALtough, I cannot argue against "yodiyokun" but it worths to try NARIC. It cost you a little. Ycou could also you the assement from NARIC as evidence of the same level of UK qualification when yoy are looking for a job in the UK
