PR...confused

i am a bit confused about PR after i received some replies from members here so i thought to re-post with exact dates :

- I arrived in the UK in May 2008 on HSMP visa.
- My wife (EU citizen) joined me in July 2008.
- We applied for her registration certificate + my residence permit in January 2009
- We received registration cert. and residence permit in March 2009
- We have been married for 2.5 years

so my question is :

- when will my wife get her PR ? March 2014 or July 2013 ?
- when will i get my PR ?

To my knowledge, according to the EU law, you must live in the UK for 5 years and then get permanent residence (A year after that you can apply for citizenship). I believe you can start counting for PR from the moment she got the certificate and you got the HSMP.

If your wife started residing and exercising treaty rights in the UK only from July 2008, then qualification for PR is as follows:
Your wife = July 2013
You = July 2013 under EU law or May 2013 on HSMP.
