I am a Bachelor of computer science (BCS) holder from India.
(1) Is this recognised degree for australian immigartion purpose? How many points can I claim for the same?
(2) I have >4 years experience my field of work.... will this make me eligible for 60 points or 50 points for Australian PR purpose for Skilled –Independent visa (subclass 175) ?
(3) Let us assume that the pointer system provides me 60 points.
Please guide

Dear Monali,

To know wheather your degree is recognized or not you should go to the DIAC website (http://www.immi.gov.au/asri/) and search for your degree, you'll find the details of how to get your degree recognized in Australia (you'd probably need to contact ACS for your skills assessment http://www.acs.org.au/).

Monali,

Please google SOL list by DIAC. You can check wether your profssion comes under MODL also. I think since computer engineer you come under atleast SOL list which is pripmary requirement for immigration. Also you need 4 years work experience and atleast 12 months out of that shd be in
position under which you will apply as immigrant.

I think you should get 60 points.
Regards

Hello All,

I am very new to this forum and this is my first post. Plz do reply when u have time.
I am B.Sc. [Statistics] graduate from Mumbai University, India and I am having 3 years work experience in Software Testing. I have 2 international certification i.e. ISTQB and CSTE from QAI,Florida,USA. My questions are -

1. Will I be eligible to clear ACS requirements?

2. with reference to the page -
http://www.immi.gov.au/asri/occupations ... 231-79.htm

this page says that comuting professionals nec i.e. not listed elsewhere are also come under MODL. My question is does software testing comes under MODL? plz plz plz do reply when u all have time. Thanking in advance.

Regards,

Kaushik Vaidya.
