Plz help for Dependant Visa

Guys,

I would like to inform you that with your kind support i have recently got my tier 1 general visa stamped.

Now i m getting married in few days and after marriage i want to apply dependent visa for my wife. kindly answer my queries below:

1. Can i apply for her (dependent) visa while i am in india or do i have to go to UK and then i can make application.

2. Please Provide me with the covering letter format for dependent application.

3. Do I need to show the maintenance funds in my account or is it fine i can show my wife's account for the maintenance of dependent. She has maintained around 1.5 lakhs in her account for the past 3 months.

4. Do I need to submit my bank statments along with the application or else we can use her account bcoz i have already spent the money.

yes u can apply from India I beleive.

there is no Fixed format, just write the letter as any Formal letter expalining things.Few people may forward u the so called format but u may write on you own , explaining your case.

Your Wife's account should be fine. Do the Maths of conversion before applying.

Your Wife's statement should do.

I beleive you can't show your wife account for maintenance proof, you being main applicant, you have to show your account as proof of funds...this is so far I learned.

Well dependent can show fund from their account. Please go through the guidance note which you can download from http://www.ukvisas.gov.uk/resources/en/ ... vaf10guide. or

5.2 Own/Main applicant’s funds
You should consult the Dependant Policy Guidance on the UK Border Agency website for details of the level of funds required for the dependants of Points Based System applicants. This will vary according to the tier or sub-tier under which the main applicant was issued entry clearance. You will need to provide evidence that the money was in your, or the main applicant’s, personal bank account for the period required (see the Policy Guidance for the specific tier, for details). The money must not fall below the required amount at any time during that period.
