I hope this helps you and anyone who is thinking of applying for tier1...
I think my case was a very straight forward one and they verified everything in the first week....
I wonder whats taking them so long to return the passport???
The status is still the same "Application forwarded to Islamabad OC on..."
Can somebody tell me when the status changes can we go to the Islamabad VAC next day and get our passport instead of waiting for the call??? How to get in please advice..Thanks

Many thanks for your reply. I have already consulted with few solicitors but getting mix replies from them. Some think I don't need to show 3 months statements but others advising opposite. This requirement of showing maintenance funds is very confusing for existing HSMP holders.
Regarding your query, as we all know job market here in UK (like every other country) is very tough at present. People who are already here with several years of UK experience are facing risks of loosing jobs. Everyone who already has a job in UK is being advised to stick with whatever job they have. In your case you have only one year commercial experience and in this situation its really tough to get job with just one year commercial experience BUT you can have advantage of MS degree from UK. Make sure you highlight this in all job application covering letters and CV you send out. Try to apply as many jobs as possible daily without thinking about how much is the salary .
Don't restrict yourself to just communications engineering jobs. See if you can fit yourself into other jobs in IT such as programming/web development/project management etc. Many trainee positions dont need any previous experience as long as you can prove the potentials of being good learner. Even if this means trainee jobs where salary is low but there is scope to grow within the compnay and gain some UK experience.
Let me know if I can help you. Feel free to message me if you require any further help.
