Change of Employer

Post by ozziekay » Sun Apr 05, 2009 2:02 pm

Hi
I am currently on the 2nd year of a 5 year Work permit with my current employer in the telecoms industry.
I am looking at moving from London to Cambridge.
I understand that any new employer needs to have the relevant permits to take on a sponsored employee, however, do the new conditions for work permits apply, with respect to needing an honours or masters to qualify?
As my work permit was approved based on my years of industry experience, I am concerned I will no longer be qualified if I move to another employer?
Any information on this would be very greatly appreciated.

Hi

If your new salary is above £24K , you do not need to worry about qualifications etc. If your employer has the certificate of sponsorship and you have passed resident labour test ( advertisment in Job Centre Plus), you can switch
