photo check

Post by lionfly » Wed Apr 08, 2009 11:33 am

Our photos are taken by ourselves, then printed from ASDA photo print machine. The background is not bright white, with a bit grey and yellowish, but the head picture is clear and sharp. I wonder how serious they check photos.

Will the photo background with a bit light shadow OK ?

Somebody in this forum said HO ask for his dependant's new photo because it is 6 months old. I wonder how HO can tell when the photo was taken? unless it is the same photo which was sent to them 6 months ago?

Lionfly..
we can argue on this type of topics for ever but at the end of the day you need to decide between 4£ each for professional photos vs 750£ Visa fees if rejected...

Because it ur application and ur money..

hope this helps

Photo is most important . If it is slightly different from guidelines . You can expect a rejection.

I went to the best photographer who is specialised in Visa photos ..

Dont give HO any chance to reject you . be perfect

The following Home Office guideline is a surprise to me. I thought a bright white background is better than grey or cream, and the photo should be more acceptable if taken from professional photographers.
"If you choose to use a professional photographer, please ensure that they are aware of the format requirements specified in this guidance, particularly that the photographs will not show a white background when printed"
Will NOT show a white background?

Does Home Office require the professional visa photographer to change background to light grey or cream? by using Photoshop?

If you look at the photos on the guidelines, the background is very very light grey. Print it out and tell the photographer to give you that.

If you want to use Photoshop, the medicine drop tool will copy that background.
