Waiting

Post by hsmptier1 » Thu Apr 09, 2009 8:48 am

I think the best thing HO can do these days is to clear out backlogs they are holding since January rather than starting something new (calling individuals for their approval or whatever!!)

More Jan applicants please provide details if you get any news.

Today call twice to HO once in morning n other in the afternoon and if it is in Under consideration.. than i am sure you will receive positive news soon n even get the docs by tuesday.. this not a standard, just my view n wat i observed in many straight forward cases once in UC n not going back to UFC (further consideration) so wish you all the good luck..

i think it is ok unless it doesn't go to UFC - under further consideration.. but anything can happen at HO
i had mine for 3days n even on 4th day they mentioned UC but actually it was despatched on 3rd day itself... so as long as it is UC no worries we can expect good news soo.. Goodluck.. (pls note it is just my observation..) Cheers

Just curious !!wats the status HO has, after they dispatch our passports...is it still under consideration???

I have not submitted any spcial delivery envelope, so in that case i would not be given tracking number from HO...

So the status always remains "Under Consideration"...

Only way to find out is when u recieve u pack in post..is that rite???

The status they give u is "Your documents have been despatched" and if u did not include SD than they will send ur docs by Recorded delivery and they shd give you the tracking no. but only big problem is that RD takes 2-3??days i think which is really a tough wait to know the approval status..

Initial HSMP Visa started on: 29/04/07
Initial HSMP Visa expiry date: 29/04/09 (entered uk on 6/6/07)
Tier 1 application date: 26/02/2009
Tier 1 confirmation date: 27/02/2009
Tier 1 payment acceptance date: no idea (paid by c/c)
Tier 1 approval date: 07/04/2009
Tier 1 start date: 7/4/2009
Tier 1 end date: 6/6/2012 (I had specifically requested an additional 2 month extension as I entered UK on 6/6/07 - this would make applying for the ILR at the end of five years)

Would like to thank everyone for the info they have provided.

Hi Nitesh,

I also have the same problem ... I came over to UK 7 months later after getting my HSMP Visa ... :(

Well, I was not aware of this & even my consultant did not mention this constraint.

Could you please let me know how did you request?
Did you send a separate covering letter along with all the necessary docs?

Your reply would be much appreciated.

Kind Regards,
Ashwath

A friend of my submitted their Tier 1 on 27 March (just before the 31 Mar deadline for new eligability requirements). They just recieved a call from the Border Agency today (8 April) saying their application was approved !!! Which I think is short of a miracle - approved in 1.5 weeks!!!

I'm happy for them, but admit I'm a bit envious as I submitted mine the day before theirs (26 Mar) and have not recieved anything yet.

I posted my application via Special Delivery, but my friend had it couriered. Would this make a difference?

Does anyone else have indication of timeframes?

Hi ,

As per HO , they are not supposed to announce any results over Phone ...I called many times , they just said they dont know the results but just a package is sent .....

In that scenario , i dont think HO would have called him . Looks like he is bluffing to me ...

hi ppl...

congrats to all those who've got their visa and all the best to those waiting,

I have a quick question. - I applied for my tier 1 visa on 23/03/09 and demonstrated more than £800 from 20/12/08 to 23/03/09 everyday -

I have since maintained that balance everyday in my account - now i am really short of money and am thinking of withdrawing some money from my account - would i be okay since i have already submitted my application>?

thanks for you help !

Confused on Approval or Rejection

Post by shiju31 » Sat Apr 11, 2009 1:46 pm

I had applied on 30th march on tier 1 and while applying i had produced all the documents as required as i had a job in hand.
Now due to some reason i had to move out of the job immediately.

My question is if they call the employer What type of question they are gonna ask to verify with my employer?
Will they be interested in knowing whether i am currently on a job as if my employer tell that i am not in a job anymore, then on that basis would they reject the application?
I had submitted Payslip, appointment letter and all, but now am confused and worried whether if this could become the reason for rejection

it shd not be a problem... HO will be interested n will try to know the evidence u submitted w.r.t the company, period, salary is correct or not.. unless ur employer intentionally gives wrong information to HO there is no fear.. cheers
