Dependent Visa for WP holder

HI ,
I am on workpermit issued on may 08, i have been at uk since aug 08.
I am planing to apply a dependent visa for my wife,
Can any tell me what are all the documets and fund maintainece i required to apply for a dependent visa.
Is there any difference if apply before 12 months of my stay in uk or after 12 months of my stay in uk, please guide me for better result

Hi, the supporting documents you need to supply are: a copy of your work permit and visa (proof of your immigration status), your marriage certificate (proof that she is your dependant), your recent bank statements and wage slips(proof of maintenance). and your tenancy agreement/mortgage statement (proof of accommodation).

I don't think there's any difference if you apply earlier or later. Expect perhaps that you might be in a better financial position later. :)

if u show £1600 in your bank accout then it would be fine.

It said that I was not eligible to apply for tier 2 because I was not on a list of eligible categories.Dependent visa is not on the list that was quoted in the letter which is also on the website.
