I wont take offence at that.

Remember that every market /environment has unwritten rules /mannerisms of preparing such.

If you do not know.... its better not to respond.

Hey, I was just thinking “out loud”, not having intentions to offend anyone here.
Tons of web resources on CV writing are just a click away. I was surprised a highly skilled IT professional has such questions. A good CV is good everywhere, UK or Nigeria…

Hi Yodiyokun,

You are on the right track requesting for information on how to prepare your CV.

Expectations on CV content definitely differ depending on market/society. While in Nigeria, full personal data is the norm, some other societies prefer CVs with personal data excluded. This helps the recruiting company avoid discrimination issues.

Language/terminology should also be closely examined. You will need to use terminologies that are prevalent in the society in which you are applying. In the medical profession for instance, the grade referred to as Senior Registrar in Nigeria is called Specialist Registrar in the UK. Using the 'right' terminology will definitely help.

I hope the link provided by Yinkuze helps. Also do further search on the web.

Wondering how Yodiyokun got hsmp approved? .... Sought for appropriate information and did it right 8)
