I don't know about FLR (M) but my husband recently (on 24th February 2009) applied for ILR on SET(M) by post and it took the HO 5 weeks. I know it's time consuming but maybe it's time to start pestering them a bit!

If you've been waiting longer than 13/14 weeks you/your solicitor can chase them on the progress.
Oh, the drama...!

what I was told by the HO was that all you can receive is an update on where the application is at in the system (ie is it being considered, are they awaiting other information requested etc..). They won't explain why it actually being delayed however. Again from what the HO told me they can hold on to your application indefinitely!

Does anyone know if this is actually true? And is there a means to force them to complete the consideration within a certain time period?
